His name was and will and will ever be PRINCE. A legend of a kind. At just 57, he left this bitter and troubling world for good. What happened? Why and how did it happen? Too soon to get answers. He could have lived another 10, 20, 30 or more years to share with the world his great talent. An incredible song writer, singer, arranger, fashion/instrument designer, multi instrumentalist, guitarist extraordinaire, producer, copy right activist, freedom fighter, and most importantly a decent human being.
I never had the chance to be at his concert let alone meet him, but I've a fan for decades and just want to share my memories of this musical genius. The peak of my admiration for Prince lies in his rendition of George Harrison's (Beatles) song "While my guitar gently weeps". Listen to the second solo that starts about 3 minutes 30 seconds into the song. This song is a pro-guitar tune with so many covers by great guitarists. Check it out online if you have any doubts. I've listened to many covers of this particular song and I use to think that Carlos Santana's cover was the best, but when I bumped into Prince's cover, I lost my mind. I wept along with his guitar. I was blown away. I'm a guitarist so I know what I'm talking about.
It's like if you are a painter, and you find some painting that makes you wonder ...how on earth could someone do this. Same goes with other forms of arts, dancing, basketball, etc. We would like you to share your memories of Prince and possibly why he died the way he did.
